Major Findings

  • No differences in fatigue survival were found among the three types of crowns. This is with a stepped protocol totaling 185k cycles from 200N,400N, 600N, 800N, 1000N, 1200N, and finally 1400N
  • The load to-failure test of the fatigued restorations with a 2-mm buildup showed the best results.
  • All restorations survived far beyond maximum masticatory human forces; one endocrown restoration and two restorations with 2-mm buildup even survived the load-to failure test at 4500 N.
